Folding Handle Overview
A basic overview of the operation of the folding handle on all CycleBoard Models. All handles are made from steel to ensure a smoother operation with class-leading strength capable of riding in any terrain.
Procedures
- Folding the Handle Up - Grab the upper portion of the handle and wiggle slightly while simultaneously pressing down firmly on the tab at the base of the handle. Once the button at the base of the handle is pressed in, pull up at the top of the handle and keep tilting the handle upwards until it clicks into place.
- Tighten the Clamp Lever - Twist the clamp lever at the base of the handle clockwise to help eliminate the small amount of forward and backward play in the handle. Once tightened, pull the lever away from the handle and move it to a vertical position so it is out of the way.
The clamp lever was designed to help reduce the small amount of forward and backward play in the handle due to the slight tolerance required for a smooth operation. It does not need to be used.
- Loosen the Clamp Lever - Before folding the handle down make sure to loosen the clamp lever and tighten the handle just enough so that it stays in place and does not fall down under its own weight. Pull out on the handle to move it to the vertical position before folding.
- Folding the Handle Down - With the Clamp handle loosened and in line with the vertical post of the handle, place one hand toward the top of the handle and wiggle slightly while simultaneously pressing down firmly on the tab at the base of the handle. Once the button at the base of the handle is pressed in, push down on the top of the handle to fold it down until it locks into place.
If the clamp lever is tightened, the folding of the handle can further tighten the clamp lever and cause it to be over-tightening. With the handle in the down position, the board can safely be lifted from the handle and rolled like a suitcase from the handgrips.
